Opened in 1939 when Fischer Funeral Home of Glandorf transferred its operation to Ottawa. Paul and Anna Mae McCrate purchased the business in 1968 and the name changed to McCrate Funeral Home. In 1982, John and Mary Love purchased the business and renamed to Love Funeral Home. In 2005, Heitmeyer Funeral Homes merged with the business. Love Funeral Home is a full service funeral home with two chapels; a casket, burial vault and cremation urn selection room and a family lounge.
