Alice C. (Siefker) Gable

   HAMLER -- Alice C. (Siefker) Gable, 90, of Hamler died 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Meadows of Leipsic. She was born March 7, 1927 in Glandorf to the late Lawrence and Dorothea (Inkrott) Siefker. On June 15, 1949 she married Arnold F. Gable who died February 20, 1989.

   Alice leaves behind a "Good bunch". Surviving are seven children, Dennis (Carol) Gable of Defiance, Sharon (Tom) Gerdeman of Maumee, Steven (Patti) Gable of Defiance, Gene (Norma) Gable of Holland, Dale (Lora) Gable of Toledo, Rick (Bethany) Gable of Holgate, and Ronald Gable of Hamler; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one on-the-way; two brothers, Pete (Pat) Siefker of Columbus Grove and Kenny (Irena) Siefker of Ottawa; and a sister, Dorothy Wichman of Bothell, WA.

   She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Alvin, Amos, Norbert, John, and Don Siefker; and two sisters, Arlene Snyder and Rose Fortman.

   Alice was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler and its Rosary Altar Society.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler with Fr. Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

   Memorials may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, Hamler or to Putnam County Hospice.
