OTTAWA – Barbara Elaine Nuveman, 68, of Ottawa passed away at 2:01 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. She was born September 1, 1948 in Lima to the late George and Vioma (Hoffman) Evers. She married Paul L. Nuveman, Sr. on June 17, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leipsic and he survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include two sons: Paul (Diane) Nuveman, Jr. of Haskins and Rodney (Michelle) Nuveman of Glandorf; two grandchildren: Brad Nuveman and Stacey Nuveman both of Glandorf; a sister: Beverly (Roger) Robinson of Napoleon; and two brothers: Dale (Deb) Evers of Glandorf and Kevin (Ann) Evers of Leipsic.
Barb worked as a cashier, waitress and babysat for many years. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her two sons. Barb enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting and band events. She loved to travel with her family and especially enjoyed cruises in the Caribbean.
Barb was a life member of the Leipsic VFW Auxiliary, Leipsic Eagles Auxiliary and Holy Family Catholic Church and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council #215.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the mass Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. A CL of C service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
