OTTAWA – Bill S. Krouse, 48, of Ottawa, died 6:17 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. He was born September 3, 1968 in Lima to the late Arnold Dean and Mary Anna (Beckman) Krouse. On April 26, 1997 he married Cheri Brown who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include four children: Taylor Krouse, Bailey Krouse, Adelyn Krouse and Ayden Krouse all of Ottawa; seven sisters and brothers: Kathy Brinkman of Ottawa, Tim (Rose) Krouse of Hide-A-Way Hills, Rebecca Krouse of Columbus, Greg (Fran) Krouse of Galloway, Carol (Mike) Weis of Illinois, DeAnne (Cheryl Doty) Krouse of Columbus and Ruthie (Jim) Hemrick of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marguerite Marie Krouse and a brother, John Krouse.
Bill was an equipment operator for Benchmark Drilling of Ottawa. He was a 1987 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School, US Navy Veteran of the Gulf War serving 6 years in the military, current member of Ottawa VFW, Commander of the Ottawa American Legion, participated in Honor Flights, member of Ottawa Jaycees and Big Brothers Big Sisters Youth Organization. Very involved member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa where he distributed communion, was a Minister of Praise, CRHP, and That Man is You bible study group. Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, grilling, gardening, motorcycles and Bruce Springsteen. His family was everything to him and he loved them dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa VFW, American Legion and AmVets. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-8 p.m. Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A VFW service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and a scripture service at 7:50 p.m. both Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be given to the Sts Peter and Paul School or Honor Flight.
