Darrell R. Meeks

   CONTINENTAL - Darrell R. Meeks, 61, of Continental died at 10:39 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017 at St.  Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born December 11, 1955 in Defiance to the late Charles and Marian (Wolf) Meeks. On September 3, 1976 he married Carol McCullough who survives in Continental.

   Also surviving are three children, Michelle (Chase) Horstman of Ft. Jennings, Michael Meeks of Ottawa, and Megan (Arron Matthews) Meeks of Broughton; three grandchildren, Jacob, Alyse, and Rachael; a brother, Bob (Sue) Meeks of Findlay; a sister, Linda (John) Hill of Continental; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

   Darrell was retired from Steel Technologies, Ottawa. He was a member of North Creek United Methodist Church and was a 1974 graduate of Continental High School. He loved to play golf and Strat-O. Darrell was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

   Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at North Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Noggle officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to  8 p.m. on Thursday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the North Creek United Methodist Church.
