OTTAWA - David A. Hueve, 68, of Ottawa died 1:05 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born September 21, 1948 in Lima to the late Alphonse and Agnes (Niese) Hueve.
Survivors include five siblings: Alphonse (Elisa) Hueve of Glandorf, Greg (Joan) Hueve of Glandorf, Therese (Steve) Shephard of Toledo, Judy Closius of Ypsilanti, MI and Jean (Peter) Baas of Gulf Point, MS; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Anthony Hueve and John Hueve.
David worked for Philips Display Components, formerly of Ottawa, maintenance for Croy's Mowing Service and was a lifetime farmer. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Ottawa VFW, American Legion and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. David loved to restore old Farmell tractors in his spare time.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will following the church cemetery with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, VFW and Am Vets. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a VFW service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and a scripture service at 7:50 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Putnam County Home Health and Hospice or to the Sts. Peter and Paul School.
