Donald M. Schwab

  OTTAWA - Donald M. Schwab, 78, of Ottawa, passed away at 8:14 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his residence.  He was born May 16, 1937 in Ottawa to the late Leonard W. and Frances G. (Conine) Schwab.  On March 6, 1959, he married Shirlene A. (Sutter) Schwab and she survives in Ottawa.

  Other survivors include 2 sons: Marvin L. (Darla) Schwab of Mt. Cory and Martin L. (Beverly) Schwab of Pandora; 8 grandsons: Derek Schwab, Jerimiah (Andrea) Schwab, Matthew Schwab, Stephen (Veronika) Schwab, Colten Schwab, Jonathan Schwab, Isaiah Schwab and Jacob Wolber; 7 granddaughters: Karis (Ryan) Badertscher, Desa (Harvey) Anderson, Keeley Kraning, Christina Wolber, Channan (David) Garmatter, Athena (Anthony) Segelhorst and Cassydee (Adam) West; 11 great-grandchildren: 2 sisters: Mary Lou Davis of Findlay and Debra Shaw of Lima; and a sister-in-law: Mary Schwab of Pandora.

  He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: John Schwab, Clarence Schwab and Richard Schwab and 3 sisters: Joan Scarberry, Donna Oman and Ruth Schwab.

  Donald retired from Mike Pruitt Lima Ford in maintenance.  He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Gilboa American Legion and Leipsic Rod and Gun Club.  He loved to fish and camp.

  Funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Steve Holbrook officiating with military rites to follow the service by Gilboa American Legion.  Burial will be a Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora at a later date.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
