Esperanza "Hope" Torres

  LEIPSIC - Esperanza "Hope" Torres, 76, of Leipsic died 8:37 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at St. Rita's in Lima.  She was born July 13, 1940 in McAllen, TX to the late Robert R. and Christine (Berrea) Solis.  In September of 1959, she married Manuel Torres and he survives in Leipsic.

  Other survivors include five children: Anna M. Lewis of Ottawa, Robert M. Torres of Findlay, Terry A. Torres of Findlay, Christine Ballou of Maryland and Sarah L. Maynard of St. Mary's; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Solis of Florida; and three brothers: Robert Solis, Joe Solis and Rick Solis all of Florida.

  She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Hayden Ivan Ridinger; and two brothers: Frank Solis and Max Solis.

  Hope was a nurse's aide at the former Putnam Acres Care Center in Ottawa and a home health aide with Interim Health Care in Lima and Findlay.  She dearly loved the Lord, studying the Bible and was a member of Believer's Ministries in Findlay.  She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, singing and spending time with her grandchildren.

  Funeral services will begin 4:00 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2017 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Alfred De La Cruz.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.   Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Monday. 

  Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
