Florentine K. Gebhardt

   LEIPSIC - Florentine K. Gebhardt, 92, of Leipsic, died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born May 16, 1925 in New Cleveland to the late Frank and Kathryn (Tenwalde) Siebeneck. On October 1, 1947 she married Clinton Gebhardt who died August 31, 1994.

   She is survived by three children, Bonnie (Kreg) Schey of Leipsic, Joyce (James) Rickard of Ottawa, and Grace (Roger) Mangas of Leipsic; eight grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Unverferth of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Edna Kahle of Defiance. Also preceding her in death was a son, Jerry Gebhardt; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joseph Harden; a grandson, Chad Harden; four brothers, Linus Siebeneck, Alphons Siebeneck, Louis Siebeneck, and Edwin Meyers; and three sisters, Clara Tenwalde, Marie Meyer, and Louise Breda.

   Florentine was a self-employed painter and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade rolls and noodles. She especially enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the mass on Friday at the St. Mary's Parish Center. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Family Life Center.
