Harriet E. "Babe" Behrns Croy

   OTTAWA – Harriet E. "Babe" Behrns Croy, 88, of Ottawa passed away at 8:17 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 12, 1928 in Fort Jennings, to the late Joseph and Annette (Von Sossan) Suever. On November 10, 1951 she married Don Behrns.  He died June 5, 1971. On February 13, 1988 she married Tom S Croy Sr. who died February 3, 2009.

   Surviving are 3 children: Richard (Mary Jo) Behrns of Delphos, John (Mary) Behrns of Ottawa, and Judy (Randy) Ollis of Burnsville, NC;  2 step children: Tom Croy Jr of Castilia, Ohio and Cheryl Frymyer of Florida; 1 sister: Marjorie (Robert) Kroeger of Defiance; 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

  She was also preceded in death by her brother: Arthur Suever, 2 sisters: Dolores Gasser and Lucille Gasser; 1 great granddaughter: Mariah Halker; and 1 step granddaughter: Sarah Liggett

   Babe was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa where she was an Altar Rosary Society member.  She was an FOE Eagles of Ottawa member and a Ladies Auxiliary member. She volunteered at The Meadows of Ottawa. Babe enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved to spoil. She loved to bake and everyone especially enjoyed her homemade noodles.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m.

   Memorials can be made to American Heart Association.
