James R. Scheckelhoff

     Ottawa—James R. Scheckelhoff, 82, of Ottawa, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his residence.  He was born July 5, 1933 in Miller City to the late Rudoph and Catherine (Inkrott) Scheckelhoff.  On September 2, 1953 he married Mary Lou Cupp who survives.

     He is also survived by his 4 children: Michael (Susan) Scheckelhoff of Pendleton, IN Sue Ann (Jerry) Recker, Sandi (Robert) Glanz, and Kathy (Todd) Kiene, all of Ottawa; 11 grandchildren: Ryan (Renee) Scheckelhoff, Jessica (Aaron) Fricke, Renae Scheckelhoff, Lindsey Scheckelhoff, Lynne (Jim) Dulle, Kyle Recker/Jesse Moyer, Julie (Corey) Buckland, Heather (Tyson) McGlaughlin, Jennifer (Ryan) Schumaker, Aaron Kiene, and Ashley Kiene; 2 sisters: Wilma Radabaugh, and Marilyn (Dutch) Westrick; 2 brothers: Roy (Irma) Scheckelhoff, and Earl (Jeanie) Scheckelhoff; 1 sister-in-law; Mary Scheckelhoff; and 14 great grandchildren.

     Preceding him in death are 2 sisters: Janet (Tom) Schroeder, and Alice (Richard) Cupp; 1 brother: Herb Scheckelhoff; and 1 brother-in-law: Charles Radabaugh.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.

     In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School.  Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
