Joyce and family, so sorry to hear of your loss. Many prayers coming your way. I would like to make it to the funeral home or to Mass but Bob is having a hip replaced tomorrow and I am not sure just when I will be leaving Lima Tuesday night or what Wednesday will bring. During this time of sorrow and loss, I am united with you in prayer to our loving God. The journey has been challenging these past days and weeks, but our faith tells us that the darkness of death is dispelled by the light and hope of Jesus Christ. My prayer for you and your family at this time is that Jesus himself will comfort your loss and reward your beloved Jim with the eternal embrace of heaven for his fidelity to faith, family and country. Dear Joyce, Nicole, Matt and Rene. We are so very sorry for your loss. Jim was such a great husband, father, grandpa and brother. What a joyous reunion he had with Mom and Dad. Our deepest sympathy to all of you and your families. Our prayers and thoughts are always with you. We will miss him greatly! And I being a Buckeye, only saw him 4 to 5 times a year since we moved to this state "up north" called Michigan in 1979. I knew what an avid basketball and football fan he was and we would talk about the Buckeyes and UofM Wolverines and the games they were playing all the time. That was almost as good as seeing him face to face. I am still a Buckeye after being married to a Woverine for 42 years. And you know that both Angie and Mindy graduated from the University of Michigan. May the Dear Lord Bless You! See you on Tuesday and Wednesday. Love, Tom

Joyce, What a great man God gave you! He always smiled and said "Hi", no matter where he was. I know "the Pit Stop Guys" will miss him greatly. Can you imagine Jim going to meet face to face with Our Lord? His mom and dad coming out to greet him. Oh the joy he must have felt to finally have his whole being healthy again, the way God created him. To be held in His Savior's loving arms would fill him with the deepest joy he's ever felt. I don't know if possible but his smile would be even bigger than the one in the picture. He's finally home again waiting patiently for you and the children and grandchildren. So do him proud all of you. Love the Lord with your whole heart, soul and mind.

I send thoughts and prayers to Mr. Steffen's family. They will have MANY fun and positive memories of his life. I met Mr. Steffen at Renee and Jennifer's wedding. He seemed like a kind and sweet man, AND he is a good dancer! As a retired physical education teacher/coach, I was glad to read Mr. Steffen played ball with the kids. Maybe that's why I enjoy watching sports and playing golf with Renee. You "done good" Dad!
