Joanie M. Rue

     GROVER HILL--Joanie M. Rue, 58, of Grover Hill died 7:54 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.  She was born June 21, 1958 in Piqua to Don Michael  and Marilyn Joan (Deal) Newlin.  Her mother, Marilyn Everett, survives in Versailles and her father is deceased.  On May 7, 1988 she married Tom Rue, who survives. 

    Joanie is also survived by her children:  Jason Rue of Ayersville, Joel (Kim) Rue of Continental, Annette Hoeffel of Continental and Courtney (Brad) Wilcox of Haviland; 5 grandchildren with 1 on the way; a brother: Gary (Valerie) Connel of Piqua and a sister:  Terri Beemer of Sidney.

     She is preceded in death by a brother:  Larry Connel.

     Joanie was a homemaker and a member of Free Christian Church, Continental.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

     The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Free Christian Church, Continental, with Rev. James Fry officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the FREE CHRISTIAN CHURCH, Continental and one hour prior to the service.  The arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
