   PANDORA - John Israel Steffen, 84, of Pandora died Sunday, March 3, 2013 as a result of an auto accident in Fort Myers, FL. He was born July 3, 1928  to the late Sam and Rose (Garber) Steffen. On July 10, 1965 he married Marilyn Jane DeVore who also died in the accident.
   He is survived by 3 children: Terry (Dee) Steffen of Pandora, Cheryl Steffen of Ventura, CA., and Kimberly (Gregory) Cramer of Defiance; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jesse) Crowe, Jeremy Steffen, Andrew Steffen, Renae Cramer, and Emily Cramer. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
   John was a retired self-employed roofer for Steffen Brothers Roofing. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in North Ft. Myers and Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa. He belonged to the Bluffton Area Shuffle Board and Country Lake Shuffle Board Associations. He was a world traveler before he retired with his wife in Florida and loved riding his motorcycle. He was caring and generous to many. He often helped out someone in need. His family was his pride and joy.
   Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa with Pastor Wayne Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Healing Streams Pentecostal Church of God, Gilboa.
