WEST UNITY - Leonard Elmo "Mo" Vaughn, 80, of West Unity died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1934 in Sprigg Township to the late William and Flora (Smith) Vaughn.
He was also preceded in death by a son: Leonard "Little Mo" Vaughn; 6 brothers: John Wesley "Buck", Herman Lee "Red", Trebor Tauble, William Ray, Robert Ralph "Bob", and James Larry "Jim" Vaughn; and 2 sisters: Mabel Doris Hanson and Ivadelle "Ivy" Hawk.
Elmo was a self-employed manager of the trucking company, Irmar. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge.
Elmo had many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a musician and played the guitar and fiddle and enjoyed entertaining family, friends, and everyone he met with his incredible talent. Playing music and singing country and bluegrass was his passion. He taught his talent to many people including his nephews. Everyone loved "Uncle Mo" and always enjoyed his company. He never met a stranger and will always be loved and never forgotten.
A Funeral Service will be held 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Burial will be in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
