Lou Ann Kahle

   KALIDA - Lou Ann Kahle, 88, of Kalida died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born May 18, 1929 in Perry Township to the late Joseph and Martha (Schmitz) Webken. On October 13, 1948 she married Leon A. "Windy" Kahle who died February 5, 2012.

   She is also survived by ten children, Daniel (Theresa) Kahle of Kalida, Marcia (Bill) Cornett  of Lancaster, KY, Joe (Charlene) Kahle of Zanesville, Bern (Pam) Kahle, Harold Kahle, Ruth (Rick) Peck, Nick Kahle, and Teresa (Mark Gasser) Kahle-Britsch all of Cloverdale, Rita (Dave) Schroeder of Kalida, and Earl Kahle of Kalida; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren with one on-the-way; a sister, Phyllis Moening of Kalida; a sister-in-law, Mae Webken of Ft. Jennings; and a brother-in-law, Bob Trenkamp of Ottoville.

   Also preceding her in death was a son, Lawrence Kahle; a brother, Carl Webken; a sister, Helen Trenkamp; a brother-in-law, Kenny Moening; great-grandson, Aaron Schnipke; and a son-in-law, Chris Britsch.

   Lou Ann was a homemaker and co-owner of Kahle Turkey Farms in Kalida. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Altar Rosary Society. Lou Ann was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed making her daughters wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, and special occasion attire for her family and friends. She also enjoyed painting, quilting, and crafting gift items for family.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER  FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be a rosary at 7 p.m.

   Memorials may be made to the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) or to Putnam County Hospice.
