Margaret A. Maag

  LEIPSIC - Margaret A. Maag, 79 , of Leipsic, died 4:39 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  She was born March 14, 1936 in Ottawa to the late John H. and Frances (Eickholt) Fenbert.  On October 3, 1956 she married Carl Maag and he survives in Leipsic.

  Also surviving are seven children: Denny (Pam) Maag of Fostoria, Barbara (Steve) Odenweller of Ottawa, Dave (Cherri) Maag of Kendallville, IN, Carla (Barry) Rosebrock of Ottawa, Roger (Cindy) Maag, Diane (Dave) Mangas and Alan (Melissa) Maag all of Leipsic; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings: Anne (Sam) Schroeder of Columbus Grove, Norma (Mark) Schroeder of Leipsic, John G. (Joyce) Fenbert of Leipsic, Janice (Norm) Witman of Harrisburg, PA, Leo (Mary Ann) Fenbert of Leipsic, and Sharon (Paul) Morman of New Cleveland.

   Margaret was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, it's Altar Rosary Society where she was a past Vice-President, and she was a Lay Eucharistic Minister for 21 years. She retired after 21 years as a cook for the former Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic, with Fr. Rick Friebel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic, and one hour prior to the mass on Monday at St. Mary's Parish Center. An Altar Rosary service will be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church or School.
