Marvin Leroy Warnimont

     OTTAWA – Marvin Leroy Warnimont, 80 of Ottawa, died 3:56 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Findlay Hospice Care Center.  He was born September 4, 1936 in Miller City to the late Alphonse “Pete” and Evelyn (Thomas) Warnimont.  On June 22, 1968 he married Linda Bratton, who survives.

     Also surviving are his children:  Laura (Ron) Mansfield of Ottawa, Patricia (Harold) Warnecke of Columbus Grove, Peggy Lusk of Ottawa, Wendy Sharp of Convoy, and Jana (Anthony) Sharp of Ottawa; Step-son:  James Stuber of Ottawa; Step-daughter:  Charissa Calvelage of Savannah, GA; 20 grandchildren, including:  Dustin Mansfield, Luke Mansfield, Kyle Sharp, Amy Lusk Wainscott, Jody Saltzman, Victor Guitron, Chalcy Strawser, Brittney Sharp, Marvin Warnimont III, Dilyn Warnimont, Gabriel Warnimont, LeAnne Warnimont,  James Anthony Stuber-Jordan, Jessera Wills, Ashley Butler, Kayla Calvelage, Ryan Calvelage, Chelsea Stuber, Melody Stuber, and Hannah "Tommy Butter" Butler; and several great-grandchildren;  sisters:  Alvera Cass of Defiance, Delores (Don) Palte of Miller City, Linda (Zed) Lindermann of Miller City, and Diane (Mike) Keesler of Miller City; cousin and best friend:  Bob Thomas of Perrysburg; and friend and helper:  Adam Morman.

     Marvin is preceded in death by his 2 sons:  Marvin Warnimont II and Victor Warnimont; a daughter:  Jody Warnimont; 2 brothers:  Doyle Warnimont and Alan Warnimont; and a brother-in-law:  Ed Cass.

     Marvin retired from Philips ECG, Ottawa after 40 years and was a life-long farmer.  He wintered in Avon Park, FL for 20 years.  Marvin was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.  He was a life member of the Ottawa VFW and the Miller City Sportsman’s Club.  He loved nature and hunting. 

     Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where military rites by the Ottawa VFW and American Legion will be held at 6:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
