Ronald L. Hibbard

   DEFIANCE - Ronald L. Hibbard, 56, of Defiance died at 6:02 a.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo. He was born March 21, 1961 in Lima to J. B. and Helen (Kerner) Hibbard. His father is deceased, his mother and stepfather, Lester Adkins survive in Lima. He married Shanda Osborne and she survives in Defiance.

  Also surviving are three children, Regina Hibbard of Lima, Jeremy (Nichole) Hibbard and Jared (Tori) Hibbard both of Defiance; two stepchildren, Kaylin (Nate) Good of Elida and Cole (Melissa) Foust of Sunbury; seven grandchildren, Jalen, Brandon, Brailon, Hadleigh, Raegan, Berkley, and Huddson; a brother, John Hibbard; and two sisters, Pam (Steve) Burchett and Tammy McConnell all of Lima. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and David Hibbard.

   Ronald retired from GM in Defiance. He loved spending time with his grandbabies and cooking for his family. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed mowing the lawn.

   A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Wapakoneta at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
