     OAKWOOD – Walter J. Kosch, Jr., 58, of Oakwood died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born January 15, 1954 in Lima to Walter Joe and Luella (Carnahan) Kosch. His father is deceased. His mother survives in Continental.  On October 11, 1980, he married Jan Ellerbrock and she survives in Oakwood. Also surviving are 4 children: Kyle (Kim) Lehman of Cloverdale, Jeremy (Greta) Kosch of Antwerp, April (Schey) Adair of Melrose and Adam Kosch of Oakwood; 5 grandchildren: Tyler, Catherine, Wyatt and Brady Lehman, Griffin Kosch; 4 brothers: Ken (Betty) Kosch of Ottawa, Mike (Marge) Kosch of North Creek, Jeff (Shelly) Kosch of Dupont, Brian (Karen) Kosch of Continental and a sister: Gloria (Carroll) Brown of Continental. He was preceded in death also by his grandparents: Jesse and Iona Kosch and a niece: Wesley Jo Kosch.
     Walter worked for Cooper Farms of Oakwood as a semen hauler. He was a member of the Red Neck Yacht Club and faithful follower of auto racing. He had enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events and spending time with his grandchildren.
     Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Dupont Church of the Brethren with Pastor Terry Porter officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to service Friday at the church.
