William "Whitey" C. Combs

   Leipsic - William "Whitey" C. Combs, 68, of Leipsic died 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at The Meadows of Leipsic.  He was born February 9, 1949 in McComb to the late Merle and Gertrude (Gebhardt) Combs.

   Whitey was retired from Phillips, Ottawa and formerly worked for Campbell Soup, Napoleon.  He was an avid fisherman and a member of Deshler Reservoir.  

   He is survived by brothers and sisters:  Harry Richard Combs of WV, Clara (Chuck) Pugh of Pandora, Donna Lause of Leipsic, Madlene Combs of Bluffton, IN, and James Combs of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Agner, Elene Combs, and Charlene Combs; four brothers:  Gerald, Lenard, Terry, and Ervin Combs; and  two brothers-in-law: Donald Lause and Dale Agner.

   A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Center Cemetery, Leipsic with Rev. Gerald Meyer officiating.   Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic where condolences can be expressed at: www.lovefuneralhome.com.
