Greg M. Schnipke
MILLER CITY – Greg M. Schnipke, 68, of Miller City, passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born August 28, 1955, in Lima to the late Ike and Bertha (Vennekotter) Schnipke. On April 25, 1992, he married Nancy Elkins, who survives in Miller City.
Greg is also survived by four children: Tracie (Kyle) Carpenter of Ottawa, Kurt Schnipke of Miller City, Dana (Don) Emmert of Findlay and Kristy (Sean) Green of Maple Heights, Ohio; a granddaughter, Olivia Carpenter; five siblings: Bernie (Edna) Schnipke, Jim (Jan) Schnipke, Mary Ann Schroeder, Larry (Julie) Schnipke and Izzy (Vickie) Schnipke; and three sisters-in-law, Sharon Schnipke, Bert Schnipke and Deb Schnipke.
He is also preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry Schnipke, Frank Schnipke and Dave Schnipke; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Schroeder.
Greg retired from Scott Wagner Plumbing and Heating, Miller City. He also worked for Philips, Ottawa. Greg was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City and the Ottawa Eagles. He enjoyed farming, gardening, woodworking, playing euchre and storytelling.
Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
