Heather Nicole Hattery
POWELL, OH - Heather Nicole Hattery, 47, formerly of Ottawa, passed away in Powell, Ohio, on April 19, 2024. She was born to James and Leona (Moore) Hattery on July 5, 1976.
She graduated from Ottawa Glandorf High School and Cum Laude from Ohio University with a degree in Journalism. Her passion was writing, she was currently working on a children’s series called Kitty Kate. Heather was an avid runner and had much success for the Ottawa-Glandorf track team, including winning a state title in 1993.
Heather is survived by her mother, Leona, her three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jill and Brian Kuhlman of Ottawa, Megan and Jeff Schulte of Ottawa, and Lindsay and Preston Stoller of Powell; nine nieces and nephews whom she adored: Wil, Ben, and Maecyn Kuhlman, Landyn and Ayvrie Schulte, and Kate, Jack, Crew, and Bryn Stoller; and her beloved dog, Hugo.
She was preceded in death by her father, James, maternal grandparents: Elvin and Florence Moore, paternal grandparents: Fred O. and Ethel Hattery; and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to extend a gracious thank you to Summit Home Health and Hospice for their compassion and care.
Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Marcella Ciccotelli officiating. Burial will follow at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Ohio Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
