Love –Heitmeyer Funeral Home has always employed a kind and considerate staff of professionals. John Love-John founded Love Funeral Home in 1982 with his wife Mary. He is a licensed embalmer and funeral director since 1974. John attended Capital University in Bexley, OH and graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science, Indianapolis, IN in 1973. John is active in the community and the Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc. He is a Vietnam Veteran. John is also currently a Putnam County Commissioner. Mary Love-Mary founded Love Funeral Home with her husband John in 1982. Mary is a licensed funeral director. She attended Lima Technical College and Ohio State University. Following a two year internship, she received her license in 1990. Mary is also a licensed insurance agent. She is involved in the community, especially the Putnam County Red Cross. She and John have two children: Heather and Robert and two grandchildren, Jeremy and Alexandria. Mary Martin-Mary has been a Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home employee since 1987 as a member of the staff. She graduated from McAuley High School in Toledo, OH. She and her husband, Tim, have two children: Jeff and Kristen and four grandchildren: Kayley, Kelsea, Zachary and Ethan. Heather Love Reynolds-has been with Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home full time since September 2002. She was a part-time employee for many years. In January 2008, she became a voting partner in the corporation. She is a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Director. She received her bachelor of fine arts from Ohio University in Athens, OH in 1999 and received her associate’s degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN in 2002. She is a part-time dance instructor for the Dance Center in Ottawa, a member of Leipsic United Methodist Church and an active member in the Leipsic community. Heather lives in Leipsic with her husband Nate, children Jeremy and Alexandria. Shanda Martz-joined the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home staff in September of 2008. She is a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Director. She is a 1990 graduate of Kalida High School and a 1993 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Shanda and her husband, Kirt, live in Ottoville with their daughter Carli where they are members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville. Shanda is a member of the church’s Hospitality Committee’s New Parents organization and a volunteer at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. David Heitmeyer – David and brother Jeff founded Heitmeyer
Funeral Home in Leipsic, Ottawa and Continental in 1995. Their
Oakwood funeral home in Paulding County was built in 1996. He is a
1987 graduate of Columbus Grove High School; attended Ohio State
University, Lima Campus and a 1991 graduate of Cincinnati College of
Mortuary Science. He became a licensed funeral director/embalmer in
1992. David is also a licensed insurance agent. He is active in the
Leipsic community, serving as past president of the Leipsic Chamber
of Commerce. He is a member of the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Dept and
St. Mary’s Catholic Church; Ottawa Masonic Lodge and Columbus Grove
Knights of Columbus. He and his wife Rita live in Leipsic with their
four children: Brice, Brooke, Hayley and Peyton. Rita Heitmeyer – Rita has worked with her husband David as
a member of the funeral home staff since 1995. She is a 1988
graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School, attended Ohio State
University, Lima Campus and graduated with honors in 1993 from
Northwestern College, Lima. They live in Leipsic with their four
children: Brice, Brooke, Hayley and Peyton
