Love Funeral Homes
Love Funeral Home has always employed a kind and
considerate staff of professionals.
John Love-John founded Love
Funeral Home in 1982 with his wife Mary. He is a licensed embalmer
and funeral director. John attended Capital University in Bexley, OH
and graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science,
Indianapolis, IN in 1973. Following a one year internship he
received his licenses in 1974. John is active in the community and
the Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc. He is a Vietnam Veteran.
Mary Love-Mary founded Love Funeral Home with her husband
John in 1982. Mary is a licensed funeral director. She attended Lima
Technical College and Ohio State University. Following a two year
internship, she received her license in 1990. Mary is also a
licensed insurance agent. She is involved in the community,
especially the Putnam County Red Cross. She and John have two
children: Heather and Robert and two grandchildren, Jeremy and
Alexandria.
Mary Martin-Mary has been a Love Funeral Home employee
since 1987 as a member of the staff. She graduated from McAuley High
School in Toledo, OH. She and her husband , Tim live in Ottawa, OH.
Heather Love Reynolds-has been with Love Funeral Home full
time since September, 2002. She was a part-time employee for many
years. She is a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Director. She received her
bachelor of fine arts from Ohio University in Athens, OH in 1999 and
received her associates degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America
college of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN in 2002. She is a
a part-time dance instructor for the Dance Center and a member of
Ottawa Kiwanis Club. Heather lives in Leipsic with her husband Nate,
children Jeremy and Alexandria, and dog Bailey.
Brett Fry-Brett joined Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home in the
spring of 2007 as licensed funeral director and embalmer. He
received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Indian
Institute of Technology in Fort Wayne in 2002, and graduated from
Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science n 2005. Brett and his wife
Dunel live in Ottawa with their son, Chance.

Heitmeyer Funeral Homes
David Heitmeyer – David and brother Jeff founded Heitmeyer
Funeral Home in Leipsic, Ottawa and Continental in 1995. Their
Oakwood funeral home in Paulding County was built in 1996. He is a
1987 graduate of Columbus Grove High School; attended Ohio State
University, Lima Campus and a 1991 graduate of Cincinnati College of
Mortuary Science. After a one year apprenticeship, he became a
licensed funeral director/embalmer in 1992. David is also a licensed
insurance agent. He is active in the Leipsic community, serving as
past president of the Leipsic Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of
the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Dept and St. Mary’s Catholic Church;
Ottawa Masonic Lodge and Columbus Grove Knights of Columbus. He and
his wife Rita live in Leipsic with their four children: Brice,
Brooke, Hayley and Peyton
Rita Heitmeyer – Rita has worked with her husband David as a
member of the funeral home staff since 1995. She is a 1988 graduate
of Delphos Jefferson High School, attended Ohio State University,
Lima Campus and graduated with honors in 1993 from Northwestern
College, Lima. They live in Leipsic with their four children: Brice,
Brooke, Hayley and Peyton
Jeff Heitmeyer – Jeff and his brother David founded Heitmeyer
Funeral Home in Leipsic, Ottawa and Continental in 1995. Their
Oakwood funeral home in Paulding County was built in 1996. He
attended Ohio State University, Lima campus and graduated in 1987
from Cincinnate College of Mortuary Science in 1987. After a one
year apprenticeship, he became a licensed funeral director/embalmer
in 1988. Jeff is also a licensed insurance agent. He is a member of
St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the Odd Fellows Lodge, Ottawa and
Glandorf Rod and Gun Club. He and his wife, Dena, live in Ottawa
with their 3 daughters: Emily, Macy and Sydney
Dianna Greer – Dianna has been a member of the staff of
Heitmeyer Funeral Home since 1995. She is a 1968 Graduate of Holgate
High School. Dianna is also a member of and treasurer of Continental
Lion’s Club and Continental American Legion Aux. She is active in
the Continental community with such things as helping out with the
Circle of Friends co-op Parish food pantry. Dianna and her husband
Mike live in Continental and home one daughter: Kim Brinkman and a
grandson: Adam Brinkman.
