Betty J. Bush

   CONTINENTAL – Betty J. Bush, 98, of Continental died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Van Crest of Delphos. She was born May 11, 1921 in Sherwood to the late Homer and Edith (Roush) Lantz. On June 20, 1943 she married Bernard A. Bush, Sr and he died June 1, 1982.

   She is survived by two children, Edna (Gerald “Bruce”, Sr.) Kraft of Delphos and Homer F. (Rosena) Bush of Continental; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three children, Karen Beisheim, Elden J. Bush, and Bernard A. Bush, Jr; five sisters, Leona English, Florence Brewer, Ruby Baker, Frances Eitenhour, and Noma Davis; and a brother, Richard Lantz.

   Betty was a housewife and a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren. She loved visiting friends, going to church, playing cards and bingo. She especially loved being with her family and having a good home cooked meal would make her day. Betty was a great cook.

   Funeral Services will be 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
