Carl F. Selhorst
LEIPSIC - Carl F. Selhorst, 90, of Leipsic died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born December 25, 1927 in Leipsic to the late Clarence and Clara Selhorst. On August 27, 1988 he married Esther Workman who died February 15, 2013.
He is survived by three stepchildren, Raymond (Adell) Workman of Continental, Kathy Bishop of Ottawa, and Chris (Mark) McDougle of Continental; eight step grandchildren, Michelle (Mike Siebeneck) Schmitz, Anita Workman, Jeremy (Terri) Bishop, Christopher Bishop, Robyn (Kurtis) Fauth, Matthew (Rachael) McDougle, Derrick (Terrie) McDougle, and Nicole (Barry) Robbins; twenty-one step great-grandchildren; one step great-great grandchild; and a step grandson-in-law, Dave Trombley. He was also preceded in death by a stepson-in-law, Rick Bishop and a step granddaughter, Becki Trombley.
Carl was a retired farmer and loved to travel. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until time to leave for mass on Saturday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. There will be a Scripture Service at 3:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
