Carol M. Ruck

MILLER CITY - Carol M. Ruck, 74, of Miller City died at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born October 10, 1942 in Lima to the late Sylvester and Agnes (Schwertner) Kettels. On February 27, 1965 she married Bill J. Ruck who survives in Miller City.

   Also surviving are three children, Steve (Stacy) Ruck of Continental, Joe (Sheree) Ruck and Tina Ruck both of Miller City; seven grandchildren, Marissa Ruck, Chloe Ruck, Corbin Ruck, Connor Ruck, Ava Ruck, Alexander Ruck, and Sophia Ruck; two brothers, Kevin (MaryEtta) Kettels of Continental and Bob (Dianne) Kettels of Cory Rawson; and a sister, Janet (Paul) Duling of Ottawa. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Kettels and a sister, Sharon Kettels.

   Carol retired from Calvary Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Glandorf in 2005. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, its Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Altar Rosary Society. She taught religion for 12 years. Carol enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and playing bingo with friends and solitaire on her ipad. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Nicholas Catholic, Miller City with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Putnam County Right to Life or Putnam County Hospice.
