Carol J. Wittler

  OTTOVILLE - Carol J. Wittler, 82 of Ottoville died 7:40  p.m.. Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her daughter's residence.  She was born August 15, 1936 to the late Richard and Beatrice (Miller) Stepleton.  On August 21, 1954 she married Kenneth N. Wittler who preceded her in death March 19, 2019.

  Surviving are six children, Cynthia (Victor) Aquino of Harrison Township, MI, Steve (Alicia) Wittler of Ottoville, Keith (Susan) Wittler of Montville, Dale (Lisa Nicelley) Wittler of Paulding, Jeanette (Craig) Womack of Antwerp, and Deanna (Jim) Roby of Ottoville; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Sharon) Stepleton of Delphos; and two sisters, Patricia Fackler of Bryan, and Debra (Craig) Henkener of Wapakoneta.

  She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stepleton; and a sister-in-law, Stella Stepleton.

  Carol had retired from Ottoville Elementary School as the Librarian.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville where she served as a lector, and was a Rosary Altar member.  She was also a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, CCL Mothers Club, and a Girl Scout Leader.  Carol served on the Ottoville Town Council and Board of Public Affairs.

  Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township with a scripture service at 7:45 p.m.
