Catherine R. Lause
OTTAWA - Catherine R. Lause, 89, of Ottawa died 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born May 14, 1929 in Jackson Twp, Hancock County to the late Sylvester and Florence (Leatherman) Dangler. On September 22, 1947, she married Ivan Lause, the love of her life for 69 years. He died December 28, 2016.
Survivors include a son, Dale Lause of Stryker; 2 grandchildren: Dean (Kelly) Lause and Stacie (Sophia Lafayette-Lause) Lause; 2 great-grandchildren: Matthew Lause and Amanda Lause; a great-great granddaughter, Alyssa Lause; and 6 siblings: Coleen Marquart of Lima, Ruth Thompson of Findlay, Lola Leiber of Bluffton, Ivan Dangler of Columbus, Linda Whitehouse of Norton and Danny (Evelyn) Dangler of Bluffton.
She was also preceded in death by twin siblings, Betty Lou and Bobby Lee Dangler.
Catherine retired from Philips formerly of Ottawa and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. She loved to garden and spend time with her husband Ivan.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in Tawa Flick Cemetery, Union Township. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
