Charles “Charlie” Bennett Gordon

   COLDWATER, MI -- Charles “Charlie” Bennett Gordon, 81, of Coldwater, MI and formerly of Continental passed away 4:40 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Laurels of Coldwater, Coldwater, MI.  Charles was born May 31, 1937 to George and Louise (Tracy, Kimble) Gordon.  He worked for Philips Components in Ottawa.

   Charles loved the Continental Pirates basketball games and attended a lot of them.  He also loved Ohio State and NBA star LeBron James.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Continental.

   Charles is survived by his sister, Barbara (Charles) Rockhold, Quincy, MI and a niece, Tracy (Dave) Braxmaier, Hillsdale, MI.  His was preceded in death by his step-father Dr. Henry “Hank” Kimble, step-brother, Kenny Kimble and a nephew, Nick Rockhold.

   The funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Pastor Charles Schmunk officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.  Visitation will be Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
