Cleal D. Medley
LEIPSIC – Cleal D. Medley, 75, of Leipsic, died 8:15 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Meadows of Leipsic. He was born August 2, 1942 in West Leipsic to the late Charles A. Sr. and Anna M (Miller) Medley.
Survivors include two sisters: Dorothy Cox of Ottawa and Barbara Cattell of Pedro; special friends: Ann Koch and Kathy Buist both of Ottawa; and several niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Esther Punches, Sarah Mull, Ethel Medley and Ruth Kinder; and two brothers: Charles Medley, Jr. and Howard Medley, Sr.
Cleal worked as a janitor with Putnam County Job & Family Service for 30 years. He enjoyed riding his bicycle all around town and visiting his family. He was a real character and enjoyed teasing and playing tricks. Cleal lived for playing Santa at the nursing home when children were invited during the holiday seasons as well as creating his special “doodle folders” for all who were old enough. He was a former member of Faith Assembly of Believers in while he lived Ottawa.
A funeral service will begin at noon on Thursday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic with Rev. Marshall Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
