D. Joan Fenstermaker
LEIPSIC – D. Joan Fenstermaker, 85, of Leipsic, died 10:17 a.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born January 27, 1933 in Leipsic, to the late Glee and Golda (Hollabaugh) Rayle. On September 6, 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Fenstermaker who survives in Leipsic. They celebrated 65 years of marriage last fall with family and friends.
Joan is also survived by six children: Cathy (Al) Benton, Dave (Kathy) Fenstermaker, Steve (Melissa) Fenstermaker, Tom Fenstermaker and Paula Siebeneck all of Leipsic and Karen Walker of Forest; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Rayle of Leipsic.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law: Wayne (Elizabeth) Rayle and Forrest Rayle.
Joan was a 1951 graduate of Leipsic High School. She was a very active farmwife and could always be found with Paul whether in the office, the fields, or in the truck running errands.
Private services will be held at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with a private burial at Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.
Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Bridge Hospice.
