Dolores A. Siefker
MILLER CITY - Dolores A. Siefker passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 27th at 2:37 p.m. She was born on January 23rd, 1932 in Miller City to the late Frances (Okuley) Leis and Frederick Leis. She married John R. Siefker on June 26th, 1956. John passed away on November 13th, 2012.
She had seven children: Karen (Tim) Meyer of Dayton, Linda (Chuck) Dries of Woodbine, GA, Alan (Vicki) Siefker of Savannah, GA, Jeffrey (Pam) Siefker of Miller City, Gene (Deb) Siefker of Miller City, Connie Wenzinger of Findlay and Randy (Beth) Siefker of Leipsic; fourteen grandchildren: Nick, Allison, Adam, Erin, Zack, Danielle, Jay, Bob, Sydney, Adam, Jon, Carlee, Jaden and Trent; ten great grand-children: Jacob, Paxton, Reid, Maggie, Everette, Kelsei, Darion, Lily, Kayla and Corbin; and a sister-in-law, Bev Leis of Miller City.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, of 56 years, her brother, Lavon Leis, and her sister, Marvelle (Don) Niese.
Dolores co-owned and operated Siefker General Store and Meat Processing along with her husband, John. She enjoyed working side by side with her family and building lasting relationships with her customers. Dolores was a very social and friendly person who was loved by all. She was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Parish, the Altar Rosary Society, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Miller City Fire Department, and the Miller City Sportsmen’s Club. She was valedictorian of her High School class at Miller City. She enjoyed luncheons with her classmates and playing cards with her friends. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Visitation is Monday, April 2nd from 2- 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 3rd an hour before mass at Love Funeral Home in Ottawa. There will be a Scripture Service at 1:45 p.m. and a Parish Rosary at 7:45 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
