Feliz C. Miranda
LEIPSIC - Feliz C. Miranda, 68, of Leipsic died 9:58 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Putnam Heritage Assisted Living, Ottawa. He was born May 29, 1950 to the late Henry and Guadalupe (Fuentes) Miranda.
He is survived by 3 sisters: Mary (Jose) Zamora of McComb, Gloria (Conrado) Villela of Leipsic, and Victoria D. Miranda of Leipsic; 4 brothers: Henry S. (Mary) Miranda, Jr. of Findlay and Anthony (Jackie) Miranda, Michael A. Miranda, and Jesse J. Miranda, all of Leipsic; 21 nephews; 12 nieces; 32 great-nephews; 33 great-nieces; 12 great-great nephews and 18 great-great nieces.
Feliz is preceded in death 4 sisters: Sussana Lucille Miranda, Beatrice (Mike) Rodriguez, Elena Miranda-Hernandez, and Rosa (Mario) Hernandez; 2 great nephews; 1 great niece; and 1 great-great nephew.
Feliz worked for Weather Seal, Ottawa and also worked for Allied Egry, Leipsic. He had been a machine salesman for Weldon Stump Co., Toledo. He also traveled to Central and South America where he had access to his own plane. He was also fluent in many languages.
He graduated in 1969 from Miller City New Cleveland High School. He was also an altar boy at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland where he assisted the priest. He was a member of Farm Labor Organizing Committee, AFL-CIO, had been a body guard for its president, Baldemar Velasquez and marched in protest for better wages, housing and working conditions. He also marched along side Caesar Chavez in support of better conditions for farm workers.
The funeral service for Feliz will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with Pastor Jose Zamora officiating from Fountain of Life Church with assistance from the oldest brother Henry Miranda. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
