Ialeen R. Schroeder

  LEIPSIC - Ialeen R. Schroeder, 82, of Leipsic, passed way at 9:30 p.m.,  Friday, October 11, 2019 at The Meadows of Leipsic.  She was born February 22, 1937 in Dade County, FL to the late Middleton C. and Ruth M. (Riordan) Davis.  On June 16, 1984, she married Raymond Augustus Schroeder.  He died November 16, 2011.

  Survivors include two sisters-in-law: Mildred (Joe) Brubaker of Hamler and Karis Schroeder of Leipsic; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

  Ialeen had a long career as an elementary teacher, principal, substitute teacher and catechism teacher.  She taught at St. Susanna Catholic School in Mason, OH, was principal at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Middletown, OH and at St. Augustine Catholic School in Napoleon, OH.  Ialeen was dedicated to her students and to her role as their teacher.  She also worked for the Henry County Health Department for many years.  She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon for many years and more recently she became a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic.

  Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Napoleon.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the mass at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Leipsic.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Augustine Catholic School,  St. Mary's Catholic School or to the charity of the donor's choice.  The family would like to thank the staff of The Meadows of Leipsic for all their support and care during Ialeen's stay as well as Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
