Imogene K. Like

   OTTAWA – Imogene “Jean” Katheryn Like, 87, left this world at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born in Putnam County on March 26, 1932 to the late Albert and Mary (Brinkman) Like.

    Imogene was very supportive in helping her siblings achieve their goals throughout their lives. She was their second mother (so to speak). She is survived by siblings, June (Larry) London of Columbus Grove, Norma (Kenneth) Wagner of Findlay, Shirley Trenkamp of Ottawa, William Like of Leipsic, Charles (Sharon) Like of McComb, and Gerald Like of North Carolina; sister-in-law,  Sigrid Like of McComb; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Ronald and Daniel Like; a sister, Donna (Lloyd) Cooper; and a brother-in-law, Roger Trenkamp.

   Imogene was employed at RCA for 30 years, after retirement she cared for her father and mother in their senior years. Imogene loved to read, dine on wonderful food, eat ice cream and Dietsch’s candy.

   A Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. William Pifher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at the St. Mary’s Parish Life Center, Leipsic.

   Imogene’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and wonderful care she received from the staff at The Meadows of Ottawa; Doctors Klass and Ukiwe; and the Mercy Health Hospice nurses. We also wish to thank the doctors and staff at St. Rita’s Hospital.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Mercy Health Hospice (959 West North St., Lima, OH 45805.) God bless all.
