Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.  It is so hard to lose a parent let alone lose both at once.  My mother, Grace Steffen Bytheway, was a cousin to John.  She always talked about the fun she would have visiting her cousins and having them come visit her family in Kidron.  Hopefully they are enjoying time together now in heaven.  Take care, Beth Bytheway Lehman

Terry, Cheryl and Kimberly,
Kim and I send our thoughts and prayers of love, peace and comfort to you and all the grandchildren.  Our Mom was Nellie Mae the oldest girl of the Steffen brothers and sisters.  What a wonderful blessed couple Uncle John and Aunt Marilyn were to everyone they touched. Our Mom always had a special sense of joy and fun sparkle in her voice whenever she spoke about Uncle John and growing up as a Steffen in Pandora, Ohio. Uncle John and Aunt Marilyn's walk with Christ, love for their neighbor, joy for living and availability to help anyone in need, is truly a living memorial to us all!  God Bless,
Dan and Kim Isaacson

John was one of my favorite uncles - my mother, Arlene, was his brother.  As a kid I enjoyed being around him.  He took us swimming, or went shooting, or rode a go cart, or he wrestled with us.  About thirty years ago, when we lived in Puerto Rice, he stopped by briefly to see us and we played basket ball.  I accepted Christ about three years ago and now will look forward to seeing John again.

May God bless those that John left behind.

Terry and Dee,
I was shocked to hear of the accident, and of course, doubly shocked by the ensuing deaths.  I offer both of you my thoughts and prayers in this tragedy.  (No need to respond to this message).

John and Marilyn are my aunt and uncle. John was the last of my mom’s nine siblings. What a blessing this couple has been to family and friends. They were strong, dedicated Christians who practiced what they preached. I know that they are both in the presence of the Lord as well as enjoying a joyful reunion with other loved ones who had gone before. I look forward to the day when my family and I will be reunited with them. Our thoughts and prayers are with John and Marilyn’s family. May the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Love in Christ,
Nancy(Isaacson) Carnine
