Joseph C. Lehman

  FORMERLY OF MILLER CITY - Joseph C. Lehman, 79 of Dade City, FL, formerly of Miller City died 5:56 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Florida Hospital Pepin Heart, Tampa, FL.  He was born November 26, 1938 in Putnam County to the late William F. and Marcella (Kuhlman) Lehman.  On May 2, 1964, he married Janet Brenner and she survives in Dade City, FL.

  Other survivors include three children: Tom (Sandy) Lehman of Charlotte, NC, Dan (Kim) Lehman and Sue Meyer both of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Kyle Meyer, Brittney Meyer, Justin Lehman and Travis Lehman; a granddog: Ella;  a brother: Carl (Joan) Lehman of  Leipsic; a sister: Annette (Bob) Meyer of Kalida; and a brother-in-law: Fred Verhoff of Continental.  He is also preceded in death by  two sisters: Alvera Verhoff and Donna Marie (Bernard) Ellerbrock.

   Joe was a pressman at Ennis of Leipsic for 52 years.  He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Miller City and attended St. Rita's Catholic Church in Dade City, FL.  He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and a member of Ottawa Knights of Columbus.  Joe loved to play shuffleboard and cards. In Florida, he was a well known hamburger and hotdog chef.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City, with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

   Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a K of C rosary at 7:30 p.m.

  Memorials made be given to St. Rita's Catholic Church in Dade City, FL or to a charity of the donor's choice.
