Karen S. Mullett

   CONTINENTAL - Karen S. Mullett, 75, of Continental died at 11:18 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born September 11, 1941 in Lima to the late George and Maxine (Jacques) Mullett. Her stepmother, Lucille is deceased. Karen was cared for by her loving aunt and uncle, Doris and Max Keck who are also deceased.

   She is survived by her brother, Ed Mullett of Tennessee; a sister, Bea Burkholder of Michigan; nephews, Kent and Greg Burkholder; her special cousins, Elaine (Jerry) Blosser and Tom (Brenda) Keck both of Continental and Todd (Kim) Keck of Columbus Grove; and many other family members. Also preceding her in death were two cousins, Mike Keck and Kevin Keck; and one brother-in-law, Sherrill Burkholder.

   Karen was a devoted caregiver. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, Continental, United Methodist Women, and the church choir. She helped at the Circle of Friends Food Pantry and enjoyed sewing,embroidering, and making potholders. Karen loved being with her family, caring for the babies, and also her church family.

   Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church, Continental with Rev. Chuck Schmunk officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or to the Food Pantry.
