Kathryn "Kay" M. Meyer
Glandorf - Kathryn "Kay" M. Meyer, 94, of Glandorf died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Putnam Heritage, Ottawa. She was born May 4, 1924 in Lansing, MI to the late Henry and Verena (Sommer) Strauer. On September 14, 1946 she married Charles "Red" Meyer who died May 25, 2004.
She is survived by two children, Brenda (Randall) Kuhlman of Leipsic and Bev (Dennis) Korte of Glandorf; a brother, Donald (Marie) Strauer of Glandorf; six grandchildren, Dean and Kelly Lause, Stacie Lause and Sophia Lafayette-Lause, Jamie and Steve Thomson, Andrew and Cari Latta, Aaron and Sarah Latta, and Austin Korte and Delaney Jacobs; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Lause, Amanda Lause, Alyssa Latta, Nathan Latta, and Faith Thomson; three step great-grandchildren, Johanna Lafayette, Kristian Lafayette, and Cameron Lafayette; and one great-great grandchild, Alyssa Lause. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Lause; a brother, Robert Strauer; and two sisters, Rita Mershman and Mildred Meyer.
Kay was a homemaker and worked at the former Lima Automotive Works. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, its Catholic Ladies of Columbia where she was a former secretary, and Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of Glandorf Ladies League and assisted with Meals on Wheels.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Scripture Service at 1:45 p.m. and CLof C and Rosary Altar Service at 7:30 p.m.
