Lavern "Chuck" Looser

   OTTOVILLE - Lavern "Chuck" Looser, 90 of Ottoville died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born September 28, 1927 in Ottoville to the late Charles and Rosa (Klausing) Looser. On May 20, 1950 he married Evelyn Nartker who survives in Ottoville.

   Also surviving are four children, Debra (Kevin) Bockrath of Chillicothe, Karen (Don) Ellerbrock of Ottoville, Randy and Darcy Looser of Arlington, TX, and Lori (Rodney) Niemeyer of Ottoville; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren with one on-the-way. Chuck was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Looser; a great-grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Looser; his brother, Bernard Looser; and a sister, Millie Elwer.

   Chuck was a farmer and was retired from Fruehauf of Delphos. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville. He played basketball for Ottoville High School and was an avid Big Green supporter by attending their sporting events.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with the Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
