Lula Mae Gibson
OTTAWA – Lula Mae Gibson, 90, of Ottawa died at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2019 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born January 9, 1929 in Orville, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mildred (Siferd) Brenneman. On November 3, 1951 she married Wilford M. Gibson who died October 14, 2002.
She is survived by seven children, Violet Roof of Ottawa, Iona Gibson of Wapakoneta, Sandy Lohrber of Bloomington, IN, Richard Gibson of Tiffin, Peggy Sundy of Fort Wurth, TX, Terry Gibson of Ottawa, and Rose (Michael) Meiring of Florida; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie (John) Rausch and Connie (Wayne) Howe both of Wapakoneta. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Brenneman.
Lula Mae was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa. In her younger years she was an avid roller skater at Dixie Roller Rink and that’s where she met the love of her life, Wilford Gibson.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Pomeroy Cemetery, Ottawa. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
