Mabel A. Higley

WESTON - Mabel A. Higley, 85, of Weston and formerly of Ottawa died 5:08 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green.  She was born March 14, 1933 in Johnstown, PA to the late William Harrison and Stella Mae (Baird) Mardis.  On May 15, 1948, she married Serge Adam Higley.  He died December 27, 2004.

  Other survivors include three children: Susan Wueller of Auburn, IN, Phillip (Bonnie) Higley of Ottawa, and Leroy (Pat) Higley of Weston; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  

  She was also preceded in death by two sons, Steve Higley and Raymond Higley; a grandson, Christopher "Ryan" Higley; four brothers; and eight sisters.

  Mabel retired from Kuss Corporation of Findlay after 18 years.  She was a member of Weston Church of Christ and formerly a member of Ottawa Missionary Church.  Mabel was proud to tell people she graduated in 1995 after being out of school for 46 years.  She loved her dogs and cats very much.  She was a member of the Pioneer Auto Club, enjoyed crocheting, and loved art, especially drawing and coloring.

  Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Gary L. Wackler officiating.  Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic.   Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday 10 a.m. until the time of service at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
