  Glandorf - Mark E. Stoepfel, 73 of Glandorf, died 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born January 8, 1944 in Lima to the late Lawrence and Mary Ann (Stechschulte) Stoepfel.  On April 24, 1965, he married Elaine Deters who survives.

   Mark is survived by six children: Kim (Rob) Kahle of Ottawa, Marna Diemer of Waunakee, WI, Brad (Jennifer) Stoepfel, Kari (Brad) Rump, Erin (Kelly) Recker all of Glandorf and Bryce Stoepfel of Santa Cruz, California; thirteen grandchildren: Jeron (Katie)  Kahle, Jake Kahle, Klaire Diemer, Carly, Lucas and Logan Stoepfel, Kirsten, Nathan, Maggie and Trevor Rump, Drew, Matthew and Mitchell Recker; one great-grandchild: Liam Kahle and two sisters: Jane (Dennis) Gerdeman and Ruth (Marvin) Brinkman all of Glandorf.

   He was the former owner of Mark Stoepfel Drilling. He is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Holy Name Society; former member of Glandorf Fire Dept.; co-founder of County Acres Golf Course and member of Ottawa Eagles.

  Mark loved his family and looked forward to Sunday gatherings.  He had a contagious laugh that brightened anyone's mood.  He worked hard his entire life to provide for all he loved.  He loved the good times he spent with all his friends, especially dancing to his favorite music.

 Mark was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers. He was an often disappointed yet faithful Cleveland Browns Fan. 

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in church cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where the Glandorf Fire Dept will be having a memorial service at 7 p.m. and a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m.

  Memorials may be given to Putnam County Hospice of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or St. John the Baptist Church.
