Mary Ellen Noirot
MILLER CITY - Mary Ellen Noirot, 85, of Miller City died 4:00 a.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born May 7, 1933 in Fostoria to the late John A. and Grace M. (Wagner) Thompson. On July 8, 1950, she married, Donald C. Noirot and he died January 6, 2018.
Other survivors include four children: Bev Ward of Ottawa, Larry (Gerry) Noirot of Montpelier, Mark (Vicki) Noirot of Defiance and Judy (Tim) Schroeder of Leipsic; eleven grandchildren: Renee Wilson, Chad (Rachel) Ward, Hannah (Corey) Schankleton, Micah (Brie) Noirot, Jason (Jessica) Noirot, Todd (Jackie) Noirot, Chelsie (Todd) Otto, Blake (Leanne) Schroeder, Dana (Tyler) Miller, Evan (Molly) Schroeder, Alivia (Nolan) Croy; twenty nine great-grandchildren: Brody & Avery Wilson; Lucas, Patrick, Jacob & Grace Ward; Moriah, Elijah, Emmah, Tabitha, Zellah & Michael Schankleton; Kobe, Kendal, Mason & Miley Noirot; Triston Joost; Taylor Noirot; Lillian, Josephine, Coletta, Samuel, Adeline & Elijah Otto; Weston Schroeder; Kamryn, Sierra & Alyssa Miller; Mason Schroeder; a sister, Ruth Glore of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Barb Thompson of California.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Noirot; two brothers: Paul (Jerry) Thompson and Carl Thompson; a sister, Doris Thompson; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Glore.
Mary retired from Miller City-New Cleveland Schools. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. She very much enjoyed embroidering, quilting, knitting afghans and crocheting. Mary loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Msgr. Charles E. Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City or to the charity of the donor's choice.
