Paul A. Schieber

   MILLER CITY - Paul A. Schieber, 80, of Miller City died 6:31 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at The Meadows of Leipsic. He was born February 26, 1938 in Miller City to the late Albert and Theresa Schieber. On June 1, 1961 he married Judith Ann Tobe who died December 16, 1997.

   Surviving are Paul and Judy's children, Laura (Scott) Fitzenrider of Ottawa Lake, MI., Tom (Betsy) Schieber of Asheville, NC, Sue (Dean) Schroeder of Hilliard, Mike (Theresa) Schieber of Whiteland, IN., Lisa (Ian) Clark of Glandorf, Marilyn Schnipke of Miller City, and Matthew Schieber of Columbus, IN.; nine grandchildren, Andy (Kelly), Amanda, Samantha, Emily, Sarah, Audrey, Hana, Daniel, and Logan; a sister, Helen (John) Alt of Miller City; and a brother, John (Pat) Schieber of Texas. He was also preceded in death by a son, Phil Schieber.

   Paul was an outdoor enthusiast; he loved fishing and tending to his huge garden. He was self-employed as a cement contractor for over 30 years. Paul was a Boy Scout turned Leader as well as a volunteer fireman for the Miller City Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Any time there was a project, Paul was there to help out, especially if it meant spending time with his family.

   He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 with Msgr. Charles Singler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
