Shelly M. Coble
CONTINENTAL – Shelly, M. Coble, 52, of Continental, died 12:36 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018, at her residence after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born December 29, 1965 in Defiance, to the late David and Lucretia (Mast) Prowant. On June 25, 1988, she married her best friend, Kevin Coble and he survives in Continental.
Other survivors include three daughters: Kelly Coble of Cloverdale, Sarah (Brian) Donaldson of Cloverdale; Stephanie (Ian Burkhart) Coble of Fremont, IN; two grandsons: Zachary Donaldson and Lucas Donaldson; a brother, Scott (Julie) Prowant of Continental; and a sister, Cheryl (James) Burkhart of Defiance.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Gregory Prowant and Mark Prowant.
Shelly worked for Maumee Valley Planning Organization of Defiance for 15 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental. Shelly was a graduate of Continental High School, obtained her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree from Defiance College. She enjoyed soccer, bicycling and quilting. Her family was the most important to her, especially her grandsons.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Continental with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial donations may be given to Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) or to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
