Thomas “Tom” Joseph Deitering
   Leipsic – Thomas Deitering, 76, of Leipsic, died 12:23 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.  He was born February 8, 1936 in Ottoville to the late Leo Joseph and Rose (Murray) Deitering.  On July 11, 1959, he married Mary Ann Kaple who survives in Leipsic.
   Tom is also survived by his children:  Cynthia Deitering and Kenneth (Julie) Deitering all of Ottawa; Mark (Sabine) Deitering of Elida; Kathleen (Kevin) Miller of Bowling Green; Ronald (Lynn) Deitering of McComb and Kevin (Rebekah) Deitering of Archidona, Ecuador; 16 granddaughters: Nicole Marie Clark, Evelyn Marie Deitering, Leah Jessica Miller, Lillian Mae Deitering, Elizabeth Deitering, Emma Margaret Deitering, Chloe Kathleen Clark, Alyssa Rae (Evan) Hartman, Anna Elizabeth Deitering, Tessa Rose Deitering, Eva Ann Deitering, Grace Catherine Deitering, Olivia Ann Deitering, Faith Ann Clark, Josephine Ann Deitering, Haley Marie Deitering; 10 grandsons: William George Deitering, Joseph Henry Deitering, Ezra James Deitering, Luke Thomas Miller, Seth Thomas Deitering, Samuel Joseph Deitering, Thomas Otmar Deitering, Alexander Loren Deitering, Jakie Thomas Deitering and Kevin Stensgaard; a step-grandson: Kenny Miller and a great-granddaughter: Seraphin Stensgaard; 3 brothers: Elmer (Sandi) Deitering of Piqua, John (Sherry) Deitering of Sidney and Daniel Deitering of Maumee and a sister: Mary Lee Laudick of Upper Sandusky; 3 sisters-in-law: Jean Deitering and Margie Deitering both of Dayton and Shirley Deitering of Baltimore.   Tom is preceded in death by 4 brothers: Roger, Herman, William and Leo Deitering, Jr.; brother-in-law: Jerry Laudick and a sister-in-law: Janice Deitering.
   Tom had worked at Sylvania Electric; following in 1960, he started Deitering Landscaping.  He was an US Army veteran serving during Peace Time.  He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland and on the Rural Life Board, Holy Aid Society; 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Fr. Ronald R. Warnimont Assembly #3268, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Leipsic and the Amvets. His years of dreaming and hardwork came to fruition in 2010 when he helped form WJTA, Holy Family Catholic Radio, 88.9.
   A Mass of Christian burial will begin 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, with Fr. Stephen Schroeder                             officiating.   Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, with military graveside service by the Ottawa American Legion.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, where a scripture service will be at 2:00 p.m. and Rosary by Knights of Columbus at 7:30 p.m. and one hour prior to service Wednesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
   Memorials may be given to the Holy Family Catholic Radio.
