Walter John Noffsinger
CONTINENTAL - Walter John Noffsinger, 82, of Continental died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Mesa, AZ. He was born November 20, 1935 in Oakwood to the late Walter S. and Hilda (Rhees) Noffsinger. On September 30, 1956 he married Shelby Jean Barnes who survives in Continental.
Also surviving are three children, Lynn (Vicky) Noffsinger and Rhonda (Doug) Price both of Cloverdale and Colette Brown of Continental; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Noland (Charlotte) Noffsinger of Littleton, CO and Leland (Doris) Noffsinger of Continental. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Waldo Noffsinger.
Walter was a farmer, a business owner, and a crop insurance adjuster. He was a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of Ohio Chapter of the Flying Farmers, International Flying Farmers, Deuces Wild and Continental Motorcycle Clubs, the National Rifleman's Association (NRA), and a life member of the American Motorcycle Association (AMA).
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Dupont Church of the Brethren with Pastor Terry Porter, Doug Price, and Steve Heilshorn officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dupont. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International, the Dupont Church of the Brethren Youth Mission trip, or the National Kidney Foundation.
