Willard C. "Willie" Selhorst

   OTTAWA - Willard C. Selhorst, 80, of Ottawa died at 3:24 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born January 30, 1937 in Columbus Grove to the late Albert and Norma (Moening) Selhorst. On May 28, 1960 he married Shirley Kuhlman who survives in Ottawa.

   Also surviving are three children: Dan (Julie) Selhorst of Ottawa, Dave (Deb) Selhorst of Glandorf, and Kay Prichard of Ottawa; seven grandchildren: Jason (Shannon) Selhorst, Britany (Steven) Beckman, Kelley Selhorst, Abbie Selhorst, Alex Selhorst, Kaila Recker, and Lindsey Prichard; two great-grandchildren: Jaden and Jocelyn Selhorst.

   He was also preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Selhorst and a sister, Dorothy Selhorst.

   Willie retired from Philips, formerly of Ottawa. After retirement, he enjoyed working at Pike Run Golf Course and Sts. Peter and Paul School. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. Willie loved to play horseshoes, was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan, and a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m.

   Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
